Imperial Officer Tunic Pattern

I joined the 501st back in April 2017 with my Imperial Staff officer. If you've followed my builds over the past few years, you'll know that I often pick costumes to build based on challenging elements. The tailoring and fit of this jacket was a challenge for sure, as was drafting the pattern! It no longer fits me as perfectly as it did when I made it, but I'm not really motivated to alter it at this point because of this portrait by Hero Dreams Imaging. . . . I don't think anything can ever beat the magic he captured!

This was originally made to fit - Bust 40, Waist 32, Hip 40 and 5'7"

So without further ado, here is a printable PDF pattern for my Imperial Officer Tunic!

  1. Your Tunic looks awesome, thanks for sharing your pattern. Was wondering though do you have a tutorial anywhere? I have downloaded your pattern but cannot for the life of me figure out how the upper front pieces go together especially how the pocket forms. Thanks. Kylie

    1. Unfortunately I don't - this was one of my earlier patterns before I started documenting everything with photos as I went.

    2. But I've had making one for my husband on my to-do list for ages - when I get to that I'll make sure to document!

  5. Hello! Hopefully you still check things here... I was wondering - how much in yards (or meters) of fabric did you need to make this tunic top?

    1. Hi! Unfortunately I made it out of fabric from my stash so I'm not sure how much I used. I'd suggest assembling the printed pattern and laying them out to see how much you'd need for the fabric width you'd plan to order.
